Witch Stones are an ongoing series of ceramic works, which allude to several objects from folklore including the witch cakes of Salem, offering protection from curses but also hex stones, adder stones and fairy stones that are said to be a window to the fairy kingdom. This specific multiple references an East Anglian myth of a black devil dog claimed to wander the countryside. This edition features a distinctive metallic black ‘tooth’.
