object | multiple is a platform for artworks. It aims to rethink the relationship between an artwork and its audience, its distribution and system of values. We object to a system of value where only the few can live with artworks.

o | m is a project, store, and study and production resource, making artist's multiples available.

Multiples, as we understand them, are made in response to the idea of encountering and living with art as part of everyday life.  An artist's multiple is not a poor relation, but a critical object. The multiple resists mysterious relationships to value, and connects a process of making to the act of collecting. 

Multiples are ready to be looked at, to be placed, hung or installed (where unframed limited editions sit in boxes and envelopes, waiting to be seen). A multiple constructs a conversation between artist, viewer and room, with each decision carefully considered.
