A sculptural reinterpretation of a familiar bookbinding tool, Paper Folder is made from compressed paper pulp, taking the form of an object traditionally used to fold and shape paper when books are made.
Paper folders are typically strong and solid, named after the materials from which they are made—bone, agate, bamboo, Teflon or horn. Paper Folder, by contrast, loses its original body and becomes the material it acts upon, rendering it incapable of performing its intended function.
